Valerio Conte

Fiorentino Valerio Conte, an accomplished electrical engineer, earned a Master's degree from the University of Pisa. His career includes impactful roles in R&D, technical procurement, and a Ph.D. focusing on lightweight vehicle electrification.

At the Austrian Institute of Technologies (AIT), he was the Thematic Coordinator for energy storage technologies. With his research group, they achieved international recognition for energy storage in transportation, with awards and notable collaborations. His expertise spans vehicle technologies, battery, modeling, and testing, contributing to international projects like the first worldwide High Voltage Off-Road Motorcycle or like Austrian delegate within various working groups of the International Energy Agency.

As an associate professor in Augsburg, Fiorentino teaches electric and electronic technologies and researches Lithium-Ion batteries, testing methodologies, and hydrogen storage. He maintains ongoing international collaborations, including a European Space Agency-funded project on lithium-ion cell qualification for space applications.
