Contents
Theory
The history of culture and theory of architecture teach students skills and methods that will help them to decipher the phenomena of general and architectural design. Using exact time references, interrelations with other art forms are shown, specific contextual factors are explained and experimental design tasks are explored.
Design
Phenomena of artistic and architectural design are analyzed in context, and experimental design concepts taking location, zeitgeist and social setting into account are incorporated and practiced in practical projects.
Qualification objectives
Theory
Analysis of approaches based on history of culture and theory of architecture, and an in-depth understand of architecture (specialist skills). Knowledge of the methods and paths for incorporating theoretical approaches in the students’ own work (method skills), taking issues of contemporary cultural history into account.
Design
Insights into cultural aspects of design. The students develop their cultural and social skills, along with their ability to conduct interdisciplinary dialog.
