Exhibition »Floortile and Elderflower – Typographic Patterns«

»I wanted to explore the ways, in which serendipity could be included within a design«, said Assistant Professor Burcu Dündar Venner from Mimar Sinan Academy of Fine Arts when she came to Augsburg to present her typefaces. In a stunning exhibition students could see how she created typographic patterns by stitching and embroidering.

Bio-Board

For use in the construction industry, a material board (bio-board) generated from microorganisms is being developed as part of the BMBF-funded "Bio-Board" research project, the properties of which are to be adapted to the specific installation situation by means of controlled growth processes. In addition to improved mechanical properties and geometry and scale independence, the growth-based and thus low-energy manufacturing process of large-area materials is particularly innovative.

HITSSSE

In the HITSSSE funding project, IT security is to be improved through secure software development for SMEs. To this end, the research project will develop recommendations for action as well as technical tools that will first be tested in practice by the project's associated partners in order to then create generic solution approaches for small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany.
