Objectives

Students expand and consolidate their knowledge of components and algorithms of analog and digital broadcasting, along with computer and network security. They learn how to analyze complex media or security-related systems and to model subcomponents. This enables them to assess or further develop technical solutions.

Activities

Lab course in broadcast engineering, part of the transmission technology and communications module.

Equipment

The laboratory provides work stations for solderless test benches, which can be used to examine source encoding, channel encoding, modulation, filter theory, and computer and network security on systems in use, such as USB, WLAN and chip cards.

Modern oscilloscopes
FFT analyzer
PC-supported data-logging facilities

PSpice
Matlab
