The Media Team of the DMZ is tasked with advising, training, and providing media technology support to the faculty at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. University-wide events can also be supported by the DMZ upon request.
In this context, the DMZ positions itself as a competence center for quality teaching, aiming to promote media-based and didactic knowledge transfer as well as to foster media literacy.
Through training sessions and coaching, digital skills are imparted, and assistance is provided in the design and production of relevant teaching media.
The Didactics and Media Center (DMZ) was founded in 2020.

Team
Markus Wangler is the video specialist at our university. Accordingly, he offers training specifically in video editing, such as for Camtasia or DaVinci Resolve. Markus Wangler is also the go-to person if you need an introduction to our media studio. In addition to media support, he is involved in the Systems Engineering program of the "Digital und Regional" project in collaboration with Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Kempten, and Neu-Ulm.
Johannes Christopher is responsible for media production. His goal is to seamlessly integrate media with university didactics. By creating videos, photos, or podcasts, content can be delivered engagingly and sustainably to students while also imparting the necessary media-didactic knowledge to instructors.
Andreas Geppert is our expert in hybrid teaching and supports media productions. His goal is to create a space for knowledge transfer between various institutions, focusing on the transfer of teaching and learning concepts within and beyond the university.
