Exchange Students -Faculty of Business
Summer Semester 2021
In spite of Corona, we have the pleasure to receive 25 exchange students to our Faculty of Business. They are mostly from Europe, for example from Finland, France, Italy, Slowakia, Spain, Switzerland and also a couple of students from Asia, South Korea.
Due to the lock down situation, our first meeting was carried out via online.
At the moment, lectures are being conducted online and we are hoping to return to blended learning in the Fall Semester 2021.
Furthermore, this semester we manage to invite two guest professors from our partner in Canada, Ontario Tech University.
Prof. Moren Shapiro is giving lectures in Family Business and Small Business Management.
Whereas Prof. Patrick Hung is going to start his course on
"Global Information Systems – Robotics Business" which provides the fundamentals of robotics business, covering their development, capabilities, and role in corporate and government strategy.
It will set the baseline for understanding how Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) will likely influence and change our business practices and lifestyle.
Virtual Christmas Party
“Outgoings meeting Incomings – Speed Dating”
If you had any questions about your upcoming stay abroad and would like to make friends with the current incomings, our Christmas Party on Sunday 13th of December,2020 was the perfect opportunity.
As part of a virtual Christmas party, all outgoings, as well as incomings, were invited for a little get together. The event was accompanied by numerous quizzes and information about Christmas in other countries.
In a small group of about 15 people, each presented typical customs and told about his Christmas at home. Questions from the outgoings were also answered in detail – because who knows better than the exchange student from Finland how thick the jacket should be there in winter? The Christmas party was a success and will hopefully take place next year again!
