Exchange Students

The Faculty of Business has 90 partner universities world wide and we receive around 120 exchange students to our faculty every year.

Exchange programmes

The fundamental selection criteria for mobility is the receipt of the completed application documents handed in before the deadline to our International Office. There are also other selection criteria at the Faculty of Business such as:

language skills (at least English B2 required)
some courses require basic business knowledge

Bachelor - One/two Semester Exchange Programme
Students from our partner universities are most welcome to spend one or two semesters at our Faculty.

You can enroll in any courses (except internship and bachelor thesis) that are offered in the respective semester. Our courses are mostly taught in German, but there are also a number of courses taught in English in every semester.

Bachelor - Double Degree Exchange Programme
Students from the following partner universities have an extra possibility to take part in our Double Degree Exchange Programme.

The prerequisite for such an exchange programme is that the student has already acquired a minimum of 120/180 credits, depending on the double degree agreement, at their home university with promising results and language skills B2 in German and English.

Master - One/two Semester Exchange Programme

Master- Double Degree Exchange Programme
Students from the following partner universities have an extra possibility to take part in our Double Degree Exchange Programme.

Courses taught in English

The Faculty of Business does not have an extra programme for our incoming exchange students, they are allowed to enroll in courses offered by our regular Bachelor Programs "International Management" or "Business Administration"except internship and bachelor thesis.

Incoming exchange students can choose the courses that are of interest for their studies, subject to places available and their level of English and / or German.

Additionnally to the courses taught in German the Faculty of Business offers the following coursesin English:

Aside from our regular Bachelor Programs the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (ZSI) also offers free Language Courses in Chinese, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian etc. and courses on intercultral competence.

Departure & Transcript of Records

If you only stay one semester at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, your exam results will be available in HIS-Online. You can download your Official Transcript of Records (TOR). For an example of a TOR please scroll down to downloads).

Extention of your stay

It is only possible with the approval from both your home university and our university.

Please note the following procedures:

Your home university must notify us before the following dates for approval.

end of April for the following Winter semester
end of October for the following Summer Semester
Prepare a tentative learing agreement for approval.
Re-enrollment for your next semester
If you wish to continue your studies for another semester, you will need to re-enroll at our university.
The deadlines for re-enrollment are provided for each new semester, and are generally 2-3 weeks before the beginning of the examination period.
Please refer to the list of dates issued by the Office of Academic Affairs for the exact dates. In addition to this, the dates will be posted on the notice boards throughout the university.
You should re-enroll by transferring the semester fee of 127,50 euros to the account of our university by the given deadline.
