Objectives
Gain insight into procurement, production and logistics processes of companies and understand the correlation between these three functions. Realise the economical scope for design of these functions.
Content
Procurement, production and logistics are core functions of industrial management. The area of influence is considerably high independent from industry sector and company size.
The lecture covers the following topics:
- Basics of goods and services processes
- Procurement, Make or Buy, Supplier Management
- Production Processes (Goods and Services), Key Figures, Process Management
- Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transportation
- Inbound Logistics, Manufacturing Logistics, Distribution Logistics, Logistics of disposal, Supply Chain Management
