Description
The Faculty Council is the supreme decision-making body of a faculty, which the Dean is heading. This is usually a professor who is elected by the Faculty Council. The Faculty Council is composed of the following members:
- the Dean or the Dean
- the Prodean or the Vice Dean
- of the Dean of Studies
- six representatives of university lecturers
- two representatives of the scientific and artistic staff
- a representative of other employees
- two representatives of the students,
- the Women's Representative.
The professors have an absolute majority of votes in this group.
The Faculty Council is responsible for all matters of the faculty, for which the dean is not intended for the Dean or of any other body of the faculty. It deals mainly with topics such as study regulations, household issues and appointments, i.e. questions concerning the faculty. However, the approval of the Senate or the competent State Ministry of Regional Sciences must also be required for certain decisions.
