Vorab		Preparation
1. Formulieren Sie eine konkrete Fragestellung,     die Sie in Ihrer Abschlussarbeit methodisch untersuchen,     bearbeiten und beantworten wollen. 2. An wen wendet sich Ihre Arbeit?		1. Formulate a specific question that you want to investigate,process and answer methodically in your thesis. 2. Name a conference, a symposium, a trade fair or a comparable public forum where your work fits thematically. When producing your work, always bear in mind the idea of publishing the results of your work there and work specifically towards this.

F.: Brauche ich zwingend einen Zweitprüfer meiner Thesis? A.: Ja, bei der BA-Thesis ist die Wahl eines Zweitprüfers zwingend. Seine Funktion ist allerdings deutlich nachrangig dem Erstbetreuer. Details und Umfang der Betreuung sind im jeweiligen Einzelfall zu besprechen. Bitte sprechen Sie die Wahl Ihres Zweitprüfers mit Ihrem Erstbetreur ab.		Q.: Do I necessarily need a second supervisor for my thesis? A.: Please discuss the choice of second examiner       for your thesis with your first supervisor. Note: The second examiner does not act as an additional supervisor. He or she is solely responsible for examination tasks. ............................ Master's thesis in a company You can easily write your thesis in a company. As you have all rights to the thesis, you can also contractually assign certain rights to a company or sign confidentiality agreements. You have to make a contract with the company, not the THA! • Find a first supervisor at the THA who is willing to supervise the thesis. • With regard to the examination performance, the first supervisor has the primary right of decision. He or she is not bound by the content specifications that you have agreed in your contract with the company. • The supervisor, the second examiner, the examination board and the examination committee must have the right to view the work and all sources when determining the grade. The examiners determine the grades, not the company supervisors. • The THA staff mentioned are all bound to secrecy (as long as they do not expressly agree to publication), as a thesis, unlike a doctoral thesis, is a non-public examination. • Most supervisors refuse to sign a non-disclosure agreement. • If the company insists on a non-disclosure agreement with the THA and the supervisor agrees, this will be handled by the THA legal department.
