ZeitspringerDie Entwicklung und Umsetzung eines neuen Designs für einen Spieleklassiker“Zeitspringer“ is a card game based on the game “Kunsstück“. It‘s a fictional trip into cultural history for 3 to 6 players aged 12 and up. The game comes in several editions. These editions either concentrate on a certain number of time periods or on certain cultural topics such as famous writers, women or scientists. During the game, the players try to bring together the cards representing famous persons with the cards representing the persons‘ typical, cuturally important accessoires, which have been crucial for the course of cultural history: Schiller‘ s quill, Bach‘s harpsicord, the Soldier King‘s harness without these objects, for example, history would not have taken the course it has. The famous persons of the game are introduced in a booklet which is included. In addition to this, there is a special website which provides more information on the life and the cultural impact of the persons and which offers the player to order collector‘s cards. My workpiece is part of the edition which concentrates on a certain number of time periods. In this game, the period of time goes from Renaissance (15th century) to Classicism (early 19th century) in Germany.
