1st and 3rd place in the Healthy Homes Design Competition
After several hours of presentations and discussions, the jury members have determined the winner of the first Healthy Homes Design Competition.
Stefano Corgnati, chairman of the jury and former president of REHVA, sums up the objective of the competition: “The competition aimed at checking the attitude of the young designers to approach the project of healthy and high energy performing buildings by an interdisciplinary attitude, considering energy, environment, comfort, well-being, economic and architectural issues”.
The finalists were allowed to travel to Rotterdam for the award ceremony at the international CLIMA congress, which was organized by TVVL with REHVA, TU Delft and TU Eindhoven.
The supervising professor Christian Bauriedel very much welcomes the approach of the competition: “In the field of architecture we can do a lot to make our living environment healthier and in better harmony with nature. I am very pleased that our students were honored, it shows that we train people here who care about the future and who develop committed, innovative solutions for it.”
