Update: Semester ticket and Bavarian discount ticket

Students at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg can upgrade their semester ticket to a Bavarian discount ticket. The price for the Bavarian discount ticket is always 20 euros less than the regular Deutschlandticket and will therefore be 38 euros from January 2025.

 

This means that students at the University of Augsburg and Augsburg University of Applied Sciences will pay 24.89 euros per month for the upgrade from January 2025.

Important: In order for the semester ticket to be credited, the Bavarian discount ticket must be ordered via this link:

The AVV transport association is increasing the price of the semester ticket for the 2025 summer semester. This will then cost 92.25 euros for six months (previously 78.63 euros). The monthly price for the upgrade will therefore be reduced to 22.63 euros per month.

Validity   

  • throughout Germany, but only on regional and local transport, excluding long-distance travel
  • Ticket is not transferable
  • The semester ticket is still valid in the AVV area regardless of the Bavarian discount ticket
