For students
The HSA_innolab enables students to work on innovative projects with external partners. Agile software and system development methods are applied. In cooperation with the partners, solutions to current issues relating to digitalization are created. The project ideas come from various sources (e.g. companies, students involved or enquiries from the Augsburg area).
Students in all computer science programs and in the Interactive Media or Interactive Media Systems study program can used the HSA_innolab in different modules:
- In the context of semester projects (4th/6th semester, Master projects)
- In the context of assignments performed in groups
- In the context of research projects
The Bayern Digital future strategy was created by the Bavarian State Government to support the digitalization process in Bavaria. In the context of this initiative, ten innovation laboratories at universities and universities of applied sciences were selected through a competition procedure and supported. The HSA_innolab is one of these selected laboratories.
You can find more information in the HSA_innolab flyer for students (in German).
For innovation partners
Agile prototyping is a method in software development that leads to initial results quickly with strong involvement of clients and customers. For example, in early stages of development, the prototypes can be checked with respect to their usability, feedback obtained from users, and corrections made if necessary.
Interested parties from business, innovators, research institutions and driving forces in the region can contact the HSA_innolab with innovative questions. The topics are examined with respect to their feasibility and solutions are developed in the form of prototypes in the context of student projects within a semester.
Examples of topics are digitalization of business processes, safety, mobility, robotics, networks and e-health.
You can find more information in the HSA_innolab flyer for innovation partners (in German).
For founders
SA_innolab places a special focus on networking with the Digitales Zentrum Schwaben (DZ.S, Digital Center Swabia) and the HSA_funkenwerk initiative. Potential founders can contact the HSA_innolab with their business model development or when developing innovative software and use the resources.
In return, the students can further advance the developed prototypes and ideas in dialog with the DZ.S or HSA_funkenwerk and thus establish startups.
The DZ.S takes on a mediation role between the HSA_innolab and business in the region. It contributes to introducing potential project ideas from SMEs to the HSA_innolab and passing on development results and prototypes to business in the region.
Support for the laboratory
To actively shape the digitalization process and make use of the opportunities of digital transformation in Bavaria, the Bavarian State Government developed the BAYERN DIGITAL future strategy.
In the context of this initiative, ten innovation laboratories at universities and universities of applied sciences were selected through a competition procedure and supported. The HSA_innolab is one of these selected laboratories.
The Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt) coordinates the innovation laboratories and provides support in networking with companies and other universities of applied sciences.
