Project description
MicrosoftHoloLens
The HoloArc group's project work is based on the Microsoft HoloLens, a pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses that can not only superimpose virtual objects into the wearer's real world, but also allow them to be moved playfully using simple hand gestures.
HoloArc2
HoloArc2 continues a predecessor project from the previous winter semester, with which it is possible to display and control virtual 3D building models of architects on the Mircosoft HoloLens. The project involved collaboration with Wohnbaugruppe AugsburgGmbH and lattkearchitekten.
Usability
In recent years, the topic of usability has become increasingly important in software projects, which is why this was a particular focus during the continuation of the project. Programme operation was to be made as simple and intuitive as possible. Further tasks:
- Optimisation of the software
- Performance improvements
- Attractive menu design
- Reset function for the models
