Project description
The project work of the group of 8 students from the Faculty of Computer Science was based on the customer order from Media-Concept Bürobedarf GmbH to optimise the warehouse processes in the main warehouse in Augsburg. The company regularly finds goods worth over €100,000 that are no longer available in its system during stocktaking. To this end, the process was analysed and an attempt was made to eliminate the weak points found using technical solutions. Collaboration took place with a project group from the Faculty of Business, whereby knowledge from both camps was exchanged on an interdisciplinary basis.
The project's task packages were
- Process analysis and identification of weak points
- Development of a target concept
- Interim presentation in the company with a decision paper
- Prototypical implementation of a solution option
- Evaluation of the test phase
