XiTraX – Biketracking goes Professional
Project description
XITASO GmbH is an Augsburg-based IT company that was founded in 2012 and is family-run. As an expert in software engineering and digitalisation, XITASO is characterised by an agile mindset. XITASO has two locations in Augsburg, between which the committed and sporty employees often commute on company bikes. This is where agility meets reality.
In order to maintain a balance between supply and demand for the bikes, they were equipped with GPS trackers and sensors and the "XiTraX" project was launched. With the help of the movement data, the computer science master's students researched a wide range of issues. Motion visualisation, tracking and tracker optimisation, accident and theft detection and a reservation portal for employees are just some of the many use cases that the XiTraX team will be solving in the future.
