In the master's program Electrical Engineering, comprehensive expertise and competencies in the field of electrical engineering and inforation technology are combined. The focus lies on a thorough deepening of methodological tools and the acquisition of practice-oriented specialized knowledge. Furthermore, special emphasis is placed on fostering independent work and interdisciplinary thinking.

The three-semester program is divided into a deepening phase (2 semesters) and concludes with a final thesis, which spans the last semester. It builds upon the foundational knowledge acquired in a bachelor's degree program and includes specialized lectures in the field of mechatronics.

In the first semester, project work is offered alongside the lectures. Alternatively, students have the option to participate in a single, larger, practice-oriented project.
In the second semester, further specialization takes place, with the interdisciplinary aspect being promoted through the free choice of subjects from neighboring faculties. Additionally, a master’s project is planned, which contributes to the scientific character of a master’s degree program.

The master's thesis in the third semester marks the completion of the program and serves two purposes: facilitating entry into professional life and fostering scientific and methodological skills as preparation for a postgraduate program.

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechatronics, or Technical Computer Science
• 210 ECTS credits
• Overall examination grade of 2.69 or better (German grading system)
• Proof of relevant study content and grades from the first degree or an additional program (submission of a corresponding graduation certificate or transcript of records)
• Language requirements: German B2 and English B2
