What can I do if I have problems?
"The specified network password is incorrect."
Even though the correct password has been entered, the error message "The specified network password is incorrect" is displayed.
On Windows Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise (7, 8, 8.1, and 10)
- first close the Explorer or My Computer
- Start
- in the search box, type "Command Prompt"
- right masts and select: "Run as administrator"
- In the command prompt that opens, type:
- secpol.msc
- The "Local Security Policy" will now open
- In the left branch, select:
- Security
- Local Policies
- Security
- on the right side to the entry "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level" click with the right mouse button
- Properties
- "Send LM and NTLM responses (use NTLMv2 session security)"
- OK
- Now try to connect the network drive again
On Windows Home (7, 8, 8.1 and 10)
- first close the Explorer or My Computer
- Start
- in the search box, type "Command Prompt"
- right masts and select: "Run as administrator"
- In the command prompt that opens, type:
- regedit
- The "Registry Editor" will now open
- In the left branch, select:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
- Create a new "DWORD"there, with the name: "LmCompatibilityLevel" and assign the value "1". If the mentioned DWORD already exists, just set the value to 1.
- Close "Registry Editor" again
- Try connecting the network drive again
