Claudia Meitinger graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich in 2003 and received her PhD from the University of the German Armed Forces in Neubiberg in 2008. Both as a research assistant and senior software engineer at the ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, she was working on projects dealing with the teaming of manned and unmanned systems and the development of assistant systems. Since 2013, she has been a professor of technical computer science at the Technical University of Augsburg. Her research focuses on using symbolic knowledge-based AI systems and cognitive architectures for developing intelligent and collaborative technical systems, mainly in production. In 2021, she was awarded the "Professor of the Year" from the UNICUM Foundation.
