Content
In this seminar we will develop basic linguistic tools and strategies for successful communication in a university context and for professional communication.
The course aims to acquire general interaction skills as well as situational strategies for listening, presenting and arguing.
The main learning objectives will be:
- understanding audio and video texts on technical topics and note taking techniques
- knowing the specifics of academic communication in Germany
- presenting scientific material: Which requirements must be observed? How do I prepare the presentation?
- discussions: How to argue and be convincing?
