Over a period of 6 weeks, around 60 students take part in video conferences organised by the teaching staff of the cooperating universities. The students work on various tasks in groups of two or three. The language used in this virtual exchange is Italian, which serves as the lingua franca. The language competence level of the students is between A2+ and B1. The activity began on 23 October and ends on 4 December.
The topics covered range from current study content and life in European cities to travel topics and intercultural differences. The students not only exchange information, but also improve their communication skills in Italian and deepen their awareness of intercultural issues.
This project is supervised by Maddalena Hufmann, Coordinator for Italian Language at the Centre for Languages and Intercultural Communication.
