Playing the

whole octave

In this lesson we will first have a look to the so-called enharmonic equivalents. An enharmonic equivalent is just another name for the same tone. For example, d' flat is the same tone as c' sharp and g♭' is the same tone as f ♯ '. It’s just a different way to name it. See the fingering charts for the two examples:

 

                  

 

 

The table of the first octave gives an overview:

Now we will learn to play the complete first octave plus the notes b and c''. Study the fingering charts.
