HSA_ias @PPZ Care Practice Centre Freiburg!

Under the motto "Technology moves care", the 5th Future of Care Cluster Conference took place in Freiburg on 21 and 22 September 2022.

The Institute for Agile Software Development (HSA_ias) was represented with three contributions: DigiPÜB, SMILe and DARE.

DigiPÜB

The agile user story mapping method was applied in the DigiPÜB project (digitisation of the care transition report). The results were presented in a poster contribution.

This was used to develop concepts for the digital transfer of the PÜB. A major advantage of the method is that the main functionalities, responsibilities and development sequence, among other things, can be identified more easily within the team through discussion and visualisation.

SMILe

In the SMILe project, an innovative aftercare solution for allogeneic stem cell transplant patients was developed, which has already received the Theodor Fliedner Medal for innovative nursing practice in 2020. In addition to Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, the University of Basel (Institute of Nursing Sciences) and the University Hospital of Freiburg (Haematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation) were involved in the project.

In the DigiPÜB project, as a sub-project of the joint research project CARE REGIO, work is being done on digitally relieving the burden on nursing staff. The research team is focusing on the standardised digital transmission of care transfer reports. These reports contain important nursing information that should arrive in the facilities before the patients in the future. In this way, nursing staff can prepare themselves at an early stage.

DARE

Exciting findings from the interdisciplinary research project DARE (new DAta and REsponsibilities) were presented in a lecture.

This centred on the ethical evaluation of the SMILe project and the effects of eHealth applications in aftercare.
