Sustainability is one of the most important issues of our time. Also in the field of international education, questions about climate-friendly mobility, avoidance of plastic and the promotion of research cooperation in the environmental field play an increasingly important role.
Therefore, as part of the HSA_international 2.0 project, the International Office is now offering a series of events for international students on the topic of "International Sustainability @HSA". In doing so, we select a new focus every semester.
Every semester there will be a lecture, a networking event and a joint action related to the semester theme. Due to the pandemic, we will meet online. Do you have your own ideas for events or would you like to present an environment-related project to other international students? We are looking forward to your message!

To participate you must be enrolled at the HSA. Registration is required for each event. Click on your chosen event below and then on "Registration".
The events will be bilingual in English and German. Please tell us additionally at the registration which language is more important for you at the event.
To get from A to B in the city, there are so many alternatives to the private car. Besides public transport and car-sharing, the bicycle is especially important for students. It is cheap, CO2-neutral, makes you sporty and independent of bus schedules or routes.
What do we offer you in the summer semester 2021?
You can expect online lectures about bicycle offers at the HSA and in Augsburg. For those of you who are not yet cycling much in Augsburg, there will be an online workshop on traffic rules and great destinations in the region. Furthermore, at a networking event, you can get to know student initiatives that are committed to environmental protection at the HSA and, if you are interested, join them right away. Finally, in July we want to participate with you in the Augsburg city cycling. For one month we want to cycle all our daily trips and collect kilometres for the team "HSA_international".
