Due to price increases and losses in the library budget for 2025, some campus licences for e-book packages and databases unfortunately had to be cancelled.
The decision on which services to cancel was made after careful analysis of usage statistics and with the involvement of the faculty deans.
We would like to openly communicate the restrictions in the library's licence offer and at the same time show you alternatives.
A large part of the literature available at any academic library in Germany can be ordered free of charge in the print version for loan/as a copy of an article via interlibrary loan. All information on interlibrary loan is summarised here.
Lean Library is a free browser plug-in that helps you with your internet research and provides the best possible access to full texts.
Depending on its financial situation, the library can still purchase individual e-books as campus licences in 2025 or alternatively acquire print editions. Please use our form for book requests or send us a short email to [Bitte aktivieren Sie Javascript].
In the database information system DBIS you can search for other freely available databases or databases licensed by the THA and check which other libraries in Germany may allow the use of a required database (for guest readers this is usually possible at the library PCs of the respective library).
