Ecological timber hybrid construction methods for multi-storey buildings
Feb 1, 2019
The topics of "sustainability" and "resource efficiency" are on everyone's lips and are also increasingly coming into focus at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, or have long been a research focus. On this occasion, a project idea has been developed at the Institute for Timber Construction at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences (HSA_ifh) in cooperation with two industrial partners, which is intended to replace classic ceiling construction methods using the climate-damaging building materials cement and steel with efficient and ecological hybrid constructions made of wood and calcium sulfate. This project will be funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection (StMUV) for 36 months from July 2019 as part of the "ForCYCLE II" project network. →
