The topic of the 7th European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) was "AI based Resilient Manufacturing and Supply Chain".
The conference offered researchers and industry representatives the opportunity to present and discuss ideas and to follow the latest developments in the field of factory organization and production optimization. The conference promoted international networking and collaboration, aiming to closely connect theory and practice, advance research and develop and highlighting important trends.
The conference was chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Lenz from the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Augsburg.
Co-chairs were:
The programme will cover the latest developments in factory organization and production optimization - lean production, Industry 4.0, supply chain management and operation excellence.
The program is available on the IEOM Society website.
The conference will take place on the Brunnenlech campus in Building B at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, including in lecture hall B2.14 and in the seminar rooms on the 2nd floor.
The IEOM Society is a non-profit professional organization based in Southfield, Michigan, USA. It is dedicated to the advancement of industrial engineering and operations management for the benefit of society.
The Society provides a platform for academics, researchers and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas and gain insight into the latest developments in industrial engineering and operations management on a global scale.
The IEOM Society has held an annual conference in the USA, Latin America and Asia for the past 15 years, an additional annual conference in Australia for the past three years and an annual conference in Europe (Bristol, Rome, Paris, Lisbon) for the past six years. In 2024, the IEOM conference took place in Germany for the first time, hosted by The Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg.
With over 6,700 students from 70 nations, the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Bavarian Swabia. The university is characterized by its thirst for research and curiosity about the latest developments in science and technology, as well as its people-oriented approach.
