What is the doctoral centre DigiTech?

At the Doctoral Centre for Digital Technologies and their Applications (DigiTech), doctoral students conduct research into the megatrends of digitalization - from processes and products to services - as well as their use in society, the economy and the environment. The aim is for young scientists to contribute to solving acute social, economic and ecological problems through digital technologies in an interdisciplinary manner.

With DigiTech, the THA is represented in a network with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and Landshut University of Applied Sciences. A total of eleven doctoral centres at Bavarian universities of applied sciences were approved by the Bavarian Ministry of Science on 04.10.2023, the majority as a network.
